About This Policy
This policy explains what eMathArt ("we", "the site") collects when you use emathart.com, who else receives that data, and what you can do about it. It covers the numerology calculators, the AI Bei chat, the game, and the article pages.
The site is a personal project. Readings are provided for entertainment and reflection - they are not advice, and no reading should be used to make medical, financial, or legal decisions.
What We Collect
Automatically, when you visit
- Your IP address and approximate location (country, region, city). We use this to apply free-usage limits and to see where visitors come from. Your IP is also used as the identifier for the usage counter, so it is stored in our database.
- Device and browser details: browser name and version, operating system, device type, brand and model, and your full user-agent string.
- Which page you opened and the time you opened it.
- How many readings you have used - personal readings, compatibility readings, and AI chat messages - to enforce the free tier.
If you create an account
- Your email address and password, handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your password ourselves.
- Anything you add to your profile: nickname, full name, birthday, and profile photo. All are optional except the nickname. These are kept only in your browser on your own device - they are never stored in our database. They are sent onward just once: if you ask AI Bei for a reading, your name, birthday, Life Path Number, birth time and birth place go to the AI so it can personalise the answer.
- Your account ID and email are attached to the visit records described above while you are signed in.
What you type in
- Names and birth dates you enter into the calculators, including a second person's details for a compatibility reading. Make sure you have that person's permission before entering their details.
- Your messages to AI Bei, which are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a reply (see below).
Third Parties That Receive Your Data
The site relies on outside services to work. Each one receives only what it needs, but they are separate companies with their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting) - stores your account, usage counters, and visit records. It does not store your profile.
- Cloudflare - relays your AI Bei requests to the AI provider on our behalf, and therefore sees your IP address and the text of the request.
- Groq - receives the messages you send to AI Bei, in order to generate the reply.
- ipapi.co and ipinfo.io - receive your IP address to look up its approximate location.
- Google Analytics - measures traffic and how pages are used.
- Google AdSense - shows advertising and may set cookies to measure and personalise it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services listed here.
Cookies, Advertising and Local Storage
Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies in your browser. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses advertising data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time.
The site also keeps a few small values in your browser's local storage, which never leave your device: your chosen language, the movements you tick on the Home Office Fitness page, whether you dismissed the "install app" prompt, and your votes on the game page. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Why We Are Allowed To Use It
We rely on your consent for advertising and analytics cookies, on the performance of a contract to give you the account and readings you asked for, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the free tier fair and the site secure. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time.
How Long We Keep It
Account and profile data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Usage counters and visit records are kept while they are useful for limiting abuse and understanding traffic. Google Analytics and AdSense keep their own data according to Google's retention rules.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or take it elsewhere. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. You can edit or clear your profile at any time from the Profile screen in the menu, and clearing your browser data removes everything stored on your device.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Where Your Data Goes
Our providers operate servers in several countries, including the United States, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider puts in place, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Changes To This Policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
